Yellowquill University College

Yellowquill University College is the only First Nation post-secondary institution in Manitoba and it has been a successful entity since 1984.  The Institution is accredited by the National Indigenous Accreditation Board (NIAB) and the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium (WINHEC). Yellowquill University College is also a member of the National Association of Indigenous Institutes of Higher Learning (NAIIHL).

Yellowquill University College ensures there is a First Nation perspective in the foundation of all courses within every program offered, for the more a student is aware of themselves and their identity, the better equipped they are to survive and work in the current environments.

The merit of this First Nation approach has been proven in the many graduates who have come through our doors, the success they have enjoyed in their careers, and the leadership and positive impact many of them have made in their home communities.

Peace Hills Trust

At Peace Hills Trust, we believe at our core that all Indigenous communities and their people across Canada should be financially strong and sound.

As Canada’s largest and oldest First Nation-owned federally regulated financial institution, and as Canada’s only independent Trust Company, we value, respect and promote understanding of Indigenous culture and prosperity in everything we do.

Driven by a vision to satisfy the unique financial needs of the Native community, our sole shareholder, the Samson Cree Nation, embarked on an ambitious project in 1972 which culminated with the incorporation of Peace Hills Trust on November 19, 1980. We were founded with the objective of providing financial services, on a national basis, to First Nations and their communities.

We now have over 40 years of experience serving the financial needs of First Nations and their members, corporations, institutions and associations both on and off reserve. We work in partnership with Businesses, Individuals and Indigenous Communities, delivering Trust, Credit and Banking services to meet their unique needs.

We employ over 100 people who serve more than 20,000 personal, business, and First Nations customers. Peace Hills Trust provides financial services across Canada through our network of eight Regional Offices and electronic services.

We are proud that we are fulfilling the vision of the founding members who worked hard to get our Company set in motion.
