AFOA Manitoba’s Upcoming Workshops on Accounting and Human Resources Management Essentials (HRME).

Our workshop schedule starts on April 26 & 27, 2023 with Introduction to Accounting 1 and HRME Modules 1 & 2.

Please find attached for your review and consideration workshop registration form and workshop information for Introduction to Accounting 1 and HRME Module 1 – Strategy and Leadership and HRME Module 2 – The Employment Relationship and Employee Experience. The workshops are being held at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre in Winnipeg.

The workshop facilitators for Introduction to Accounting 1 are Jeannie Carriere, CAFM, CAPA, Vice-President, AFOA Manitoba, Director of Finance, Opaskwayak Health Authority, and Allan Munroe, CAFM, CAPA, President, AFOA Manitoba, Account Executive, TIPI Insurance Partners. 

We are fortunate to have Mr. Robin Henry as our facilitator for all HRME workshops. Robin is of Tlingit and Vuntut Gwitch’in ancestry and a citizen of the Teslin Tlingit First Nation in the Yukon Territory. Robin not only brings his CPHR designation, BA in Social Sciences, and Chartered Director (C. Dir.) designation as well certification in Strategic HR Leadership from UBC Sauder School of Business and Leading People and Investing to Build Sustainable Communities from Harvard School of Business and over 20 years of experience in senior human resource management positions with Indigenous communities and Indigenous organizations that provides a relevant perspective.

We have other workshops scheduled as follows:

June 14 & 15, 2023 – Introduction to Accounting 2, HRME Module 3 – Indigenous Employee Effectiveness and Capacity Building & HRME Module 4 – Compensation and Workforce Analytics.

August 2 & 3, 2023 – Funding Agreements, Chart of Accounts, Payroll Administration and HRME Module  5 – Workplace Wellness.

All workshops will be held at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre in Winnipeg.

All participants are required to follow provincial COVID-19 guidelines.
